Man Facing Gun, DUI Charges Related To Vernon Motorcycle Crash
A man has been charged in connection with an October motorcycle crash in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — A man involved in a serious motorcycle crash in Vernon in October is now facing gun and drunken driving charges, an arrest report indicates.
Vernon resident John Daquilla, 57, was charged in a warrant with driving under the influence, illegally carrying a firearm, driving with unsafe tires, traveling too fast for conditions and driving an unregistered vehicle.
According to a warrant, on Oct. 4, Daquila was at the Windsor Avenue-Windermere Avenue traffic signal. He turned left when the light turned green and hit another vehicle from the rear and was tossed from his 2010 Harley Davidson, according to a warrant.

According to a warrant, he hit his head on the pavement and suffered serious injuries.
He was not wearing a helmet and tested at a blood alcohol level of .14, well over the .08 legal limit, according to a warrant.
