Man Found Asleep In Motel Hallway Was Wanted: Vernon Police

A man found asleep in a motel in Vernon was wanted, police said.

VERNON, CT — A man found sleeping in the hallway of a Vernon motel wound up being wanted in another state, police said.

Dana Hornblower, 58, whose listed address is in South Windsor, was charged with resisting and being a fugitive from justice, according to a report.

At 10:52 p.m. on Feb. 24, Vernon police were called to 425 Hartford Turnpike and the Red Roof Inn after receiving a report that a man was sleeping in the hallway, police said.

Hornblower at first gave police a false name, according to a report. When police did determine his actual identity, they also discovered he was wanted in Rhoe Island for skipping out on court dates.

Locally, he was charged with interfering with police.
