Man Hurt By Falling Tree In Vernon In Stable Condition: Cops
A man who was hurt by a falling tree in Vernon was in stable condition in an area hospital, police said.

VERNON, CT — A man who was hurt by a falling tree on Thursday morning was in stable condition Friday morning with "serious" injuries, police said.
The man is in his 40s and is from eastern Connecticut, police said.
The man was clearing trees in a wooded area at a skeet shooting range off Fish and Game Road late Thursday morning, police said. The incident was reported at 10:36 a.m.

Police and fire personnel from both Vernon and Tolland rushed to the scene and the man was taken out of the woods in an off-road vehicle, police said. He was then taken to Hartford Hospital via Life Star helicopter, police said.
