Man In A Tree With A Chainsaw Rescued By Vernon Responders
A man trimming trees with a chainsaw in Vernon was injured over the weekend, police said.

VERNON, CT — A man who was up a tree with a chainsaw in Vernon had a close call over the weekend.
The incident took place Saturday at 11 a.m., police said.
According to an incident report, a man was perched in a tree at a Montauk Drive residence cutting branches with a chainsaw and cut his leg.

Responders managed to get the man a tourniquet while he was still in the tree and he was able to apply it himself and get down with the help of police officers and firefighters, according to an incident report.
The man was transported to St Francis Hospital and Medical Center by Vernon EMS.
