Man In Vernon Park Blames Jar Of Pot On Massachusetts: Report
A man was caught with a jar of pot at a Vernon park, police said.

VERNON, CT — A man who was caught with a mason jar full of pot at Vernon's Henry Park essentially blamed it on Massaschusetts, police said in a report released on Tuesday.
Roberto Santiago-Pena, 20, of Holyoke, MA, was arrested last Thursday at the park, according to a report. An officer on patrol after hours — 8:41 p.m. — saw a car near the Fox Hill Tower and drove over to investigate, according to a report.
When an officer questioned the occupants about the smell "of fresh marijuana" coming from the vehcile, Santiago-Pena said he had it because it's legal in Massachusetts. Apparently, he took advantage of the opportunities in his home state because the officer noticed several "roaches" or marijuana cigarette butts, in the vehicle, a report indicated.
