Manchester Cops Charge Vernon Man In Shots Fired Investigation
A charge has been filed against a Vernon resident in an investigation into shots being fired in the Charter Oak section of Manchester.

MANCHESTER, CT — It turns out a gold Chevrolet Impala from Vernon police said is connected with a Tuesday shooting incident in the Charter oak section of Manchester wasn't too tough to find. Just a few hours after the incident, police spotted the car on Main Street not far from the crime scene and subsequently arrested its owner for violating a protective order, according to a report.
Police Wednesday were mum on the rest of the investigation, citing its ongoing status. Nevertheless, Jahzuan Clarke, 24, of Vernon, was given a $100,000 bond and was to be arraigned in court Wednesday on the protective order charge, police said.
At about 12:06 a.m. Tuesday, Manchester officers responded to the area of 104 Charter Oak Street for a report of shots fired, according to a police report. The caller told police that someone fired multiple rounds from a gold Chevrolet Impala, which fled the area west on Charter Oak Street afterward, according to the report.

Responding officers discovered evidence of the shooting and a canvass of the immediate area confirmed there were no injuries as a result of this shooting, police said.
The Impala turned onto Interstate 384 from Charter Oak Street and additional rounds were fired while the vehicle was on the entry ramp, police said.

A report indicates that multiple shell casings were found on the I-384 ramp.
The impala was spotted on Main Street Tuesday night near Haynes Street, and was pulled over, police said.

It was located was charged with violating a protective order Wednesday.
