Manchester Man Killed In Weekend Motorcycle Crash In Vernon

A fatal weekend crash in Vernon involving a Manchester man is still under investigation.

Highway crews Monday were cleaning up the area of a single-motorcycle crash that happened over the weekend at South Frontage and Tunnel roads in Vernon. The crash  took the life of a Manchester man.

VERNON, CT — A weekend motorcycle crash in Vernon claimed the life of a Manchester man.

The accident took place at 11:08 p.m. Saturday in the area of Tunnel Road and South Frontage Road, police said.

Vernon police said they encountered a heavily damaged motorcycle in the roadway when they arrived at the scene. It was the only vehicle involved in the crash.

A man was also located on the ground to the side of the road with significant injuries, police said. He was transported by Vernon EMS to Rockville General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

He was subsequently identified as Cameron Blake, 21, of Manchester.

Road crews were still cleaning up the area Monday.

Vernon police, with the assistance of Metro Traffic Services, are investigating the crash, which
