Manchester Woman With 4 Orders Charged With Stalking in Vernon

A woman was charged with stalking for an incident at Rockville General Hospital, according to a warrant.

VERNON, CT — A Manchester woman with four protective orders issued against her is facing a stalking charge for following a man at and near Rockville General Hospital, a warrant indicates.

The incident involving 37-year-old Shawanda Trice-Mathis took place in late January, a warrant indicates. She initially told police that the male "victim" in the case had been sending text messages, calling and had even entered her home in violation of the orders.

She is accused of going to Rockville Genrral Hospital where the man works and causing a disturbance, according to a warrant.

The man told police she followed him while on his break and he eventually ran into the Union Grocery at 76 Union St., went out the back door and went back to the hospital, but parked in the valet circle to avid Trice-Mathis, who was again following him, according to a warrant.

She was charged with third-degree stalking, third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace, police said.
