Man's 30-Foot Fall at Vernon Construction Site Being Investigated: Police
The case is being investigated by a safety authority, police said.

VERNON, CT — Police and the state Occupational Safety and Heath Administration office are investigating just what caused a construction worker to fall 30 feet at a construction site on Hartford Turnpike in Vernon.
The fall took place on Dec. 22 at 11:11 a.m. where the latest additions to the Santini apartment complex ar 1100 Hartford Turnpike — The Grand Lofts — are being built, police said.
A 47-year-old man who was working at a job site there fell and was transported to Hartford Hospital by an Vernon EMS crew, police said.

The case has been referred to OSHA, police said. An OSHA representative could not be reached for comment on Thursday morning.
There is no criminal element to the case, police said.
