Mayoral Opponents Now On Vernon Town Council Together
In Vernon, the Republican mayor's Democratic opponent filled a quick council vacancy just about a month after the election.

VERNON, CT — The opponent who squared off against Mayor Dan Champagne in last November's municipal election is now on the Vernon Town Council.
The Vernon Town Council, at its Dec. 16 meeting, unanimously appointed Jeremy Geller to the board.
Geller was sworn in as a council member to fill the seat left vacant by Ariana Nieves, who had resigned. The Democratic Town Committee then appointed Geller to take Nieves' place.
