Memorial Day Holiday Changing Vernon Trash Schedule

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Public Works Department will be closed on Monday May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.

Refuse and recycling will not be collected on that day but instead will be collected on Tuesday May 28, along with that day's normal collection. If delays occur, residents should leave carts at the curb.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday May 26.

Excess refuse and recycling may be brought to the Transfer Station free of charge year-round on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
