Missing Teen From Vernon Found 'Safe,' Police say.

A Vernon girl that had been reported missing was located and is safe, police said.

VERNON, CT — A teenage girl that went missing from Vernon late last week has been located and is safe, Vernon police said.

Vernon police said 12-year-old Zaylie Neron was found safe in New York, but authorities did not give specifics about just where in the Empire State.

Vernon Police Friday afternoon issued a Silver Alert for Neron. She had last been seen Thursday at 10:30p.m.

She had left her house on foot in the Rockville section of Vernon, police said.
