​ MLK Day Trash And Recycling Collection Schedule Posted In Vernon

​Martin Luther King Jr. Day is prompting a change in Vernon's trash and recycling collection schedule.

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Department of Public Works will be closed on Monday Jan. 15, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Trash and recycling will not be collected on that day but, will instead be collected the following day, Tuesday Jan. 16, along with that day's regular collections.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Sunday Jan. 14.
