Motel Visitor In Vernon Accused Of Using 911 To Mooch A Ride Off Local Cops
A man kept calling the police via 911 just to get a ride, authorities in Vernon said.

VERNON, CT — A visitor at a Vernon motel is accused of using the emergency system to mooch a ride off police.
Vernon police issued a report on the jan. 22 incident to begin the week.
That day, according to an arrest report, a 41-year-old man with a New Britain address made back-to-back 911 calls from a house phone at the Travelodge, located at 51 Hartford Turnpike, to ask police for a ride. He repeated the call even after dispatchers told him not to clog up the emergency system with calls involving personal matters, according to an arrest report.

He also refused to leave the property after being "trespassed" by the staff, according top an arrest report.
The man was eventually charged with first-degree criminal trespass and misuse of the 911 system.
