VERNON, CT — A wayward teenage motorcycle rider was corralled in Manchester after speeding his way through parts of Vernon, police said.

Vernon police released details of the Sept. 6 incident this week.

At 5:44 p.m. that day, a motorcyclist being sought for "several moving violations" in Vernon was stopped on Parker Street in Manchester, according to an arrest report.

The driver, a 19-year-old Manchester man, had previously refused to stop for a Vernon officer on Route 30/83, according to an arrest report, according to an arrest report. He headed onto Parker Street at a high rate of speed but was was eventually stopped, police said.

The driver was transported to the Vernon Police Department, where he was charged with reckless driving, disobeying the signal of an officer, a lane violation, driving a motorcycle without the proper endorsement, driving an unregistered vehicle and an insurance violation, police said.
