New Bakery 'Opening Soon' In Vernon

VERNON, CT — There is soon-to-be a new bakery in Vernon.

Bright yellow-and-red signs have emerged at 101 West St. proclaiming ManYaman Bakeshop is "coming soon."

The formal announcement was made on Feb. 23 on its Facebook page and signs are now quite visible.

"Get your sweet tooth ready ... ManYaman Bakeshop is officially on the way," the social media post says. "We're mixing the flour, prepping the ube, and getting ready to serve you something truly special ... Opening Soon ... Turn on post notifications so you don’t miss the Big Reveal."

The commercial parcel is not new to baked goods. The building at the corner of West Street and Grand Avenue was former home base for the Cupcake Brake and it's bright yellow and blue truck.
