New Laundromat Adds Fresh Look To Vernon's Rockville Section

VERNON, CT — A new laundromat has opened in the Rockville section of town and it's offering a fresh look to a rebuilt shopping plaza.

Get Fresh Laundromat at 41 West Main St. (the former Rockville Pharmacy) celebrated a ribbon-cutting ceremony with town officials Tuesday. It opened earlier this summer in the Rockville Retail Center.

The laundry center is affiliated with Swiss Cleaners. The owners said the premise was to fill a gap in an area know for its transportation challenges where the closest laundromats are at 70 Windsor Avenue and near Northeast school.

Walkers have already been flocking to Get Fresh. There is also a large parking lot for those driving in.

Get Fresh has a sizable layout with machines of all sizes, including some that hold eight baskets.

It also operates on a prepaid card system.
