The commercial expansion at 1189 Hartford Turnpike and the Wine Seller was a decade in the making. Vernon town planner George McGregor said the site plan was approved years ago and the owners were finally ready to move on it back in June.
The Wine Seller liquor store had sat at the west end of the land and a copse of trees was at the eastern end of the parcel, bordering a strip plaza anchored by Vernon Pizza. It will consist of three retail spaces once finished.
