New Principal Picked For Center Road School In Vernon

A new principal has been chosen for a Vernon elementary school.

VERNON, CT — The Vernon public school system has agreed, in principle, with a new principal for Center Road School.

The board of education Monday approved Superintendent of Schools Joseph Macary's appointment of Heather Earley as the new principal at Center Road School, pending agreement on a formal contract.

Earley is currently the director of Elementary curriculum, instruction and assessment for the Windsor Locks public school system, Macary said.

She is a South Windsor resident who, before coming to Windsor Locks, was an instructional coach, math coach and teacher in the East Hartford system, Macary said.

School is scheduled to begin on Sept. 1 in Vernon with professional development workshops slated for the two days prior. Click here for the full school calendar.
