VERNON, CT — A man who wasn't even a guest at a hotel in Vernon pulled a fire alarm at the establishment and is now facing criminal charges as a result, police said.

The incident took place Friday at 3:02 a.m., police said.

The man was seeing a guest at the hotel and both had full non-contact court orders against each other, according to an arrest report. The encounter led to a fire alarm being activated, police said.

He was arrested and charged with violating a standing criminal protective order and disorderly conduct.

Judicial system records show a man with the same name and birth year has a pending assault case and six other sealed dockets.
