North-Central Connecticut Teams Have Successful Monday in State Tournaments
Nine of the 11 teams from the region that competed Monday night emerged victorious, including Bolton-Coventry-Rockville-RHAM ice hockey.
As girls basketball moved into quarterfinal action and the boys basketball and boys ice hockey tournaments got underway, high school teams from the north-central Connecticut area fared quite well in postseason action Monday night.
Nine teams from the region earned victories, while just two fell to defeat.
Bolton-Coventry-Rockville-RHAM opened the Division III boys ice hockey tournament with an 8-3 win over Brookfield-Bethel-Danbury.
