Nutrition And Energy Business Moves Into Vernon Plaza

VERNON, CT — Dragonfly Nutrition and Energy has moved into an end space at the Post Road Plaza in Vernon.

The plaza sits at 352 Hartford Turnpike, the local address for that section of state Route 30. Dragonfly is taking the place of a former convenience store.

Dragonfly is owned by Stafford resident Jenn Owens. She has been working on getting Dragonfly open since March, but it's been a slow go because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Dragonfly specializes in nutritional drinks along with dietary and activity tips. Wednesday morning was busy with Owens blending fresh shakes and setting up to-go orders.

New signs are on order and should be on the rooftop and doors soon, Owens said. Writing on the front windows and the open door were clear signs the business was open Wednesday.

Dragonfly's opening is the latest chapter in a remarkable recovery by the plaza sine a 2018 fire.
