Open House Slated At Strong Family Farm
Strong Family Farm Participating in Connecticut's Statewide Open House Day June 8

On Saturday, June 8, from 10 AM to 3 PM, Strong Family Farm in Vernon Center will open its doors for a fun day at the farm. As part of the State of Connecticut’s Open House Day, many activities will be happening at the farm.
Strong Family Farm will be offering:
- Our mascot Clucky T. Rooster with photo opportunities
- Visiting pygmy goats – Hootie and Annie and our own chickens to pet
- Tours of the 100-year-old barn (occurs every hour on the hour)
- Free seed packets and garden advice by the Vernon Garden Club
- The Strong Family Farm Store will be open for business. Come and get a free preview of what’s to come with the Grand Opening on June 19th. All CT Grown and produced items!
- Opportunity for kids to plant a sunflower seed to take home
- AND SO MUCH MORE! FREE FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY!
After you are done visiting the farm, visit Art Center East, Vernon Historical Society, New England Civil War Museum and Friends of Valley Falls. Treasures in the Town of Vernon who are all participating in the open house day program!

Established in 1878, the Strong Family Farm is the last historical small farm in Vernon, CT located at 274 West Street.
