Paving Work On Grove Street In Vernon Slated To Start Next Week
Motorists should expect delays on a busy road in Vernon next week.

VERNON, CT — The milling and paving of Grove Street in Vernon is scheduled to begin on Sept. 4, town officials said.
Grove Street is state Route 31.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation project is scheduled to be completed by Sept. 19. Work is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday. The first phase will be milling of the existing roadway by Rafferty Fine Grading, Inc.

Paving by Tilcon Connecticut is scheduled to begin Sept. 15 and be completed by Sept. 19.
Motorists should expect lane closures while work is underway and are urged to avoid the area of possible, town officials said.

Grove Street is the major connector to Downtown Rockville, two courthouses and the Exit 67 interchange with Interstate 84.
