Pedestrian Hit By Car In Vernon In Critical Condition: Reports

VERNON, CT — A man is in critical but stable condition after he was hit by a car while crossing the street Saturday in Vernon, according to reports.

The incident occurred shortly before 5 p.m. on Hyde Avenue near South Grove Street, reports said.

A white BMW 3 Series going west on Hyde Avenue struck the pedestrian, according to WTNH, which reported the driver was uninjured, remained at the scene, and was not immediately charged.

The pedestrian was taken to Hartford Hospital with serious injuries, NBC CT reported.
