VERNON, CT — A pedestrian and a car collided in Vernon Monday, police said.

The incident took place at 6:21 p.m. in the area of Talcottville Road and Dobson Road, police said.

The pedestrian sustained a leg injury and was transported to an area hospital, according to police.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and has been cooperating with the investigation and no charges have been filed, police said.

The road was closed for a short period of time.
