Picture Vernon: Brook More Than Babbles After Heavy Rains
Friday's heavy downpours produces some intense images in Vernon.
VERNON, CT — A section of Ogden Brook off Walker terrace provided the perfect opportunity for the latest installment of the Picture Vernon series after Friday morning's heavy rains.
Torrential downpours caused the brook to crest and flood into an adjacent yard.
Similar situations arose in other yards along the brook in the central part of town.

Meanwhile, in the Rockville section town, Union Street briefly flooded at the intersection with West Street and water was raging over the falls near the old Amerbelle and AnoCoil plants.
