Picture Vernon: A changing Intersection

VERNON, CT — This week's installment of the Picture Vernon series takes us to 1960 and the intersection of Lake Street at Tunnel Road, looking south.

Things look a little different now. There are more trees and what appears to be a farm is now full of houses, even the farmhouse is, well, a house.

The is indubitably more traffic nowadays, with the extra houses and a school right up the hill.
