Picture Vernon — Cleaning Up The Town

VERNON, CT — This week's chapter of the Picture Vernon series travels back to the year 1918. That's the year Henry Kloter purchased a cleaning establishment on Route 83.

The small cleaners was located where a Domino's now stands.

It's become a tried and tried staple of the business community over the years. What is now Swiss Cleaners is across the street and features a large plant that services both the residential and commercial markets.
