VERNON, CT — The latest installment of the Picture Vernon series takes us to the waterfall on the Tankerhoosen River on Friday after three thunderstorms — two in the morning and one overnight.

Add on heavy rains during the week and the falls created a nice scene — and some rapids.

The main image shows the main falls at the convergence of Phoenix Street, Tankerhoosen Road and Campbell Avenue. The shows the water heading downstream on the west side of the overpass.
