Picture Vernon: One Last Official Ride For Retiring Police Dog
Tengo was actually in the front seat of a Vernon police cruiser this week.
VERNON, CT — The latest installment of the Picture Vernon series takes us to the police department on Tuesday.
Police Dog Tengo took a rare ride in the front seat of a cruiser after his retirement ceremony. The 9-year-old black shepherd retired this week after seven years on the job and more than 200 deployments working out of the back seat.
His actions led to several key arrests. He will stay with handler Jeffrey Condon in his retirement.
