VERNON, CT — Vernon police are searching for a thug who accosted a pizza delivery driver on Tuesday.
On Tuesday at 6:09 p.m. Vernon police responded to the area near Spring Street for a robbery of a pizza delivery driver, according to a news release.
The driver called 911 after she was attempting to deliver pizza and was assaulted by a man, police said.

The suspect then fled on foot, police said.
A Vernon police dog unit attempted to track the suspect but he was not found, police said.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital, police said.
