Plea For Mail Turns Into Family Feud At Vernon Residence: Cops
A plea to keep the mail going turned into a curbside family feud in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — A plea to keep the mail going turned into a curbside family feud that ended with charges filed against the Vernon woman asking for the mail in ther first place, police said.
The saga began at 2:11 p.m. when a woman, later identified as 35-year-old Stacy Rabida, flagged down an Vernon officer on general patrol in front of Rockvile Superior Court. She asked the officer to help her retrieve mail from 4 Cedar St. to "avoid problems with family," according to a report.
The officer said he would go there in advance and talk to the reisdents, but, a few minutes later, Rabida showed up and "caused a disturbance" that included her threatening a family member, according to a report.

Rabida was then arrested and charged with breach of peace and threatening, both in the second degree, according to a report.
She wound up back at the courthouse three days later, where she was arraigned and had her case continued to March 15, records show.

A police report does not indicate if she had any mail.
