Pole Left Dangling On Wires After Vernon Crash

A vehicle took out a pole on Sunday in Vernon.

VERNON, CT — The bottom portion of a utility pole was sheared off in a Sunday crash in Vernon.

The crash took place at about 1:30p.m. between the Farm Care Care and Domino's pizza buildings on Route 83. That's 36 Windsor Avenue on the local map.

A vehicle took out about the bottom third of a utiltity pole and left it dangling on some wires. There were no reported injuries but the road near the accident was closed for a short time until the pole was replaced.
