Missing 27-Year-Old Vernon Woman Found in Pennsylvania

VERNON, CT — A missing woman from Vernon has been found in Pennsylvania after a nearly daylong search Thursday, police said.

VERNON, CT — Police are searching for a 27-year-old Vernon woman, who was reported missing to Wednesday evening.

Aroob Mallhi was last seen Wednesday morning and was supposed to be en route from Vernon to Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, police said.

She had not arrived at her destination and her family and colleagues are concerned for her well-being, police said.

The behavior "is unusual" for Mallhi, police said.

Mallhi is being desribed ad a female of Pakistani descent, approximately 5-foot-7, 107 pounds.

She is believed to be operating a 2012 blue Nissan Versa with CT registration AR96597.

She has ties to Drums, PA, and police have reason to believe she may have been in the West Chester, PA, area recently.

Vernon Police have been working jointly with Pennsylvania authorities to find her, authorities said.
