Police Investigating Car Vs. Motorcycle Crash Near Vernon-Manchester Line

VERNON, CT — A collision on Route 83 Tuesday between a motorcycle and a car left the bike rider hurt, Vernon police said.

The crash took place at 4:40 p.m. in Vernon near the Manchester line.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said. The motorcycle operator, however, was taken to Hartford Hospital with undisclosed injuries, police said.

The between was closed for about an hour between Welles Road in Vernon and Taylor Street in Manchester, police said.
