Police: Man Arrested for Sexually Assaulting Juvenile in Vernon
Heriberto Gomez is charged with 10 counts of first-degree sexual assault.
Vernon Police arrested and charged a man with 10 counts of first-degree sexual assault after he allegedly sexually assaulted a juvenile victim who was around 11 or 12-years-old.
Heriberto Gomez aka “Pupiro,” 30 of NEw Britain was arrested by police Tuesday morning at Rockville Superior Court.

Gomez was already in the custody of the Connecticut Department of Correction, said Detective James Grady, police spokesman.
The state Department of Children and Families notified Vernon and New Britain Police of a complaint that a juvenile was sexually abused by Gomez.

The charges stem from alleged assaults that occurred in a Vernon residence when the victim was 11 or 12-years-old.
Gomez was additionally charged with 10 counts of illegal sexual contact with a victim under the age of 16.
Gomez is a convicted felon and has pending charges by New Britain Police. He is formerly from Holyoke, Mass.
He was arraigned Tuesday morning and bond was set at $100,000.
