Police Searching for Vernon Girl, Anahicha Mendez

Police are searching for a 15-year-old Vernon girl, NBC Connecticut reports.

Anahicha Mendez, who was staying in a foster home, ran away on Aug. 20 and has been missing since then. Her whereabouts are unknown, and police have issued a Silver Alert for her.

She is described as a white, 5-foot-5 female and weighing 130 pounds, with brown eyes and reddish-blonde hair.

Anyone with information on Mendez’s whereabouts is urged to call police at 860-872-9126 or the Department of Children and Families hotline at 800-842-2288.
