Police Subdue Man After Drug-Induced Tirade In McDonald's Parking Lot In Vernon: Arrest Report

VERNON, CT — A man from Beelzebub Road in South Windsor has a Tuesday court date after a devilish time at a Vernon McDonald's according to a police report.

Vernon police released details on the July 15 incident Monday.

At 11 that night, Vernon officers were dispatched to the McDonald's at 74 Reservoir Road for a disturbance that involved a man "throwing and breaking items" in the parking lot, according to an arrest report.

When they arrived at the scene, officers encountered the 32-year-old man shirtless and screaming and, upon seeing police, he jumped into his vehicle, according to an arrest report.

As the man was reaching into the center console, officers were able to remove and subdue him, according to an arrest report. Police then located inside the vehicle "numerous" wax folds containing fentanyl after the man admitted taking the drug just prior to the incident, according to an arrest report.

He was subsequently charged with interfering with police, possession of a controlled substance and the use of drug paraphernalia, according to an arrest report. Records show the man posted a $5,000 bond and was given a Tuesday court date.
