Police: Vernon Woman Charged After Threatening High School Administrator

The woman is due in court this week.

VERNON, CT — A Vernon woman has been arrested for threatening a school administrator.

The incident took place on Sept. 2 and Vernon police announced second-degree threatening and second-degree breach of peace charges against 43-year-old Monica Lee on Monday.

Lee, of Vernon, was, as a police sergeant described, "upset with services rendered" at Rockville High School and threatened an assistant principal. When asked to elaborate, the sergeant said the threats "were serious" in nature.

Lee is due in court on Tuesday, police said.

"Safety and security are a top priority for the Vernon Public Schools," Superintendent of Schools Joseph Macary said. "We investigate all issues that may impact our schools and students."
