As Practice Opens, a Look at Rockville Fall State Championships
The first official day of practice for fall sports is Aug. 25; Patch looks back at state titles won by Rockville teams in autumns past.
VERNON, CT — Thursday marks the official opening of practice for fall high school sports, and the first day gives every team hope and optimism that perhaps a state championship is in the cards.
A total of four Rockville teams have captured state titles in fall sports in the past:
- girls cross country (3): 1988 (LL), 1986 (LL), 1985 (LL)
- football (1): 1990 (L)
