Pregnant Woman Injured in Vernon Knife Incident
A pregnant woman was injured during a knife incident in Vernon on Wednesday, police said.

VERNON, CT — A pregnant woman escaped a knife incident with a minor injury on Wednesday morning, Vernon police said.
The call to the Santini apartments at the at the 1100 block of Hartford Turnpike came in at 8:31 a.m. Seven officers responded to the scene. A third-party caller at first described the incident as a knife attack, according to dispatch reports.
When police arrived, the woman, who is 14-weeks pregnant, had a finger injury, police said.

Police were still investigating the incident, which they described as domestic in nature, late Wednesday morning.
