Prestigious Watercolor Show Comes To Vernon CT

The New England Watercolor Society Biennial Regional Show is on display at Arts Center East October 3-31.

Arts Center East in Vernon is proud to host the Biennial Regional Show of the New England Watercolor Society, October 3–31. The show, juried and judged by acclaimed artist Anni Crouter AWS, SAA, will feature 66 watercolor paintings from all six New England states.

New England Watercolor Society (NEWS) sponsors numerous shows throughout each year, but only the Biennial (Regional in odd years and North American in even) is open to nonmembers, and only acceptance to the biennial counts toward earning Signature Membership in NEWS. This will be the first NEWS Biennial hosted by a Connecticut gallery in more than a decade.

Arts Center East is located at 709 Hartford Turnpike in Vernon. The gallery is open to the public Thursday–Sunday from 1:00–5:00pm. There is no admission fee and all work is available for purchase. Visitors are required to wear masks at all times in the building. There will be no on-site reception due to Covid-19. Images of the selected artwork will also be viewable online at www.artscentereast.org beginning October 3.
