Real Tosses 1-Hitter in Vernon/Rockville Softball Win

VERNON, CT - In the fifth game of District 8 Pool Play at the 9/10 Softball level, Vernon-Rockville defeated Somers 10 - 0 in a five-inning game.

Vernon-Rockville completed Pool Play at 5-0.

Lexi Real had 11 strikeouts and let up one hit over five innings to gain the victory.

Kaylee Coulter, Chloe Keane and Morgan Geisinger had one hit a piece, Kourtney Anderson and Real (including a triple) had two hits and Caitlin Chatterton (including a double) had three hits for Vernon-Rockville.

Geisinger, Lila Ward, and Real made solid plays in the field.

Real scored 3 runs and Anderson scored two runs for Vernon-Rockville.

For Somers, standout players were Deidre Dalessio, Robin Gaskell, and Kiana Kalman.
