Record Year For Calls At Vernon Fire Department

VERNON, CT — The Vernon Fire Department is citing a record year in 2023 in terms of calls.

In all, the department responded to 6,158 calls for service.

"This is the most to date for our department," fire officials said.

Of the total incidents, 4,950 were calls for emergency medical services and 1,208 were fire-related, officials said.
