Recreation Business Among 12 New Businesses Registered In Vernon In August

VERNON, CT — Vernon had a dozen new business registrations in August, according to the Connecticut Business Registry. Trucking and moving companies and health practices were the most common categories, with two filings each.

Among the new arrivals were SwingBox, a recreation business, Fixe Jewelry, a clothing retailer and Healing With Heart, a home care business. All but one organized as a limited liability company; the exception was a professional LLC.

State registration doesn't guarantee a business is open to customers yet; the filing can precede or follow a launch by months.
