Removing Wallpaper, Should it stay or Should it go?

In today's real estate market the more move in ready and  generally appealing your house is the faster it is likely to sell and for a higher price.  Today's buyer is looking for a move in ready home, even if it is an older home. The days of the sweat equity buyer seems to be gone. So, if it's possible, get rid of any wallpaper. To do this, use alot of hot water and a wallpaper stipper/remover. If you are unable to remove it, paint over it. To do this correctly, make sure the paper is solidly adhered to the wall and then prime it with an oil primer. Have the primer tinted to match your finish wall color. This will cut down on the number of coats needed.  If the wallpaper seams show, fill them with spackle after the primer is dried. Then lightly sand and top coat with a light neutral color of beige.
