Rental Prices Up Slightly In Vernon, Latest Report Shows
Check out the average rental prices for major markets in north-central Connecticut.

VERNON, CT — Rental prices were up slightly in major markets in north-central Connecticticut heading into the fall — with one exception — according to the latest statistics compiled by the website RentCafe. Vernon rents were among those that inched up.
Here is a glance at the rents at the end of August, 2019, the last month to be included:
- Bloomfield: Average rent, $1,598; year-to-date comparison, up 0.2 perecent.
- East Hartford: Average rent, $1,012; year-to-date comparison, up 0.2 percent
- Enfield: Average rent, $1,312; year-to-date comparison, up 0.2 percent
- Manchester: Average rent $1,361; year-to-date comparison, down 0.4 percent
- Vernon: Average rent $1,255; year-to-date comparison, up 0.2 percent
Stamford apartments are the state’s most expensive for renters, according to the statistics, with an average rent of $2,463.Stamford is followed by apartments in Norwalk, where the average monthly rent is $2,345.

The cheapest city to rent an apartment of the cities analyzed is Waterbury, with an average apartment rent of $957, according to RentCafe.
