Report: Women Charged After Being Caught With Drugs in Motel Parking Lot
One has a long drug history, records indicate.
Two women - including one with a long history of drug arrests - were taken into custody late Monday night after they were caught will two illegal substances in a local parking lot, according top an arrest report.
Just before 11:30, an officer was on routine patrol and checked on the parking lot of the Motel 6, located at 51 Hartford Turnpike, police said. The officer noticed a suspicious vehicle occupied by Chantelle Kellner, 24, of 63 Valley View Lane and Lea Michelle Norton, 25, of 6 Sterling Place, Manchester.
Police said drugs and drug equipment were found in the car.
Kellner was charged with cocaine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Norton was charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Norton was to appear in court on Tuesday on a $2,500 bond and Kellner on April 23 with a $500 bond, police said.
Kellner is also due in court in Manchester on April 26 regarding an incident in which she allegedly took an infant with her to a drug deal.
She has four other pending cases in total, according to the state Judicial Department case lookup system.
