Restaurant Burglary Being Investigated in Vernon

VERNON, CT — Police are investigating a break-in at a popular eatery in the Rockville section of Vernon.

The burglary at Craig's located at 13 West Main St., was reported Monday at about 8 a.m., police said. The owner went in through the front door about two hours earlier and, as he was preparing for this business day, notices that someone had broken into the restaurant through a rear door, police said.

A cash register was stolen and an undisclosed amount of money was taken, police said.

The restaurant has remained open.
